Christmas Campfires!
Named for the Christmas Story in Luke 1-2, where angels appear to shepherds who were "keeping watch over their flocks by night" to announce, "Do not be afraid! I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people! Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." I imagine since they were keeping watch by night--they had a Christmas Campfire!
Christmas! means "anointed and sent"! Christ means "anointed" and "mas" is from the Latin "missio" which means "to go or to send"! Jesus was anointed and sent, and as his followers, so are we anointed and sent to share "Good News! of Great Joy! with All People!" (Luke 2:10) "We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)
Christmas Campfires! are the Campfires! that spread around the world where Good News of Great Joy! is shared! Christmas Campfires! are also the Campfires! by which we keep watch 24/7 by praying for the nations!
