CamellBack Christmassage!
Christmassage is a word I coined by joining Christmas and massage. Christmas means 'anointed and sent' as Christ means anointed and mas is from the Latin missio, which means 'to go or send'. In the word Christmassage, following Christmas, anointed and sent, is sage, which means wise, and made me think of the WISE MAGI who traveled on CamellBack to worship Jesus and give him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
In the word CamellBack, we see the words Came and Back. Jesus came and He is coming Back! CamellBack Christmassage is the reason I chose to become a massage therapist. My desire was to use massage as a tent making skill, in reference to Paul the apostle, who lived a life of ministry and supplemented his income with tent making. My desire in setting out to earn my massage license was that I would be able to support or supplement a lifestyle of ministry and giving/going to missions. While I was still in massage school, God expanded my vision one day when I was listening to John Piper implore missions minded Believers who had an aptitude toward business to 'make as much money as you can and be a conduit--a pipeline for finances and resources for missions and the Kingdom!' My heart nearly burst and I knew this was God giving me a desire and dream far greater than the one I had originally envisioned. This vision has been years in the making, and CamellBack Christmassage! is the way I will begin to carry this out!
The 3 gifts of the MAGI were Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, and the pattern for CamellBack Christmassage is built ariound these 3 gifts.
Gold, giving 100% of the price of each Christmassage to missions and ministries. This is possible because each massage therapist who gives CamellBack Christmassage, beginning with me, will have their own sponsors who back them in order to be able to give freely the work of their hands, so that every dollar paid for each Christmassage goes to bless neighbors and nations!
Frankincense, 24/7 worship and prayer for the nations, beginning in Hot Springs, with the desire and purpose of spreading around the state, country and world! The pattern is DANIEL: acronym for Day And Night In Every Language! beginning with 3 times a Day, 8am-12noon, 12 noon -4pm and 4pm-8pm. The Nights will also be 3 times: 8pm-12midnight, 12midnight-4am and 4am-8am. These times will be covered by the Bought'tea! of Christ, worshipping the LORD and praying for the nations!
Myrrh, the minis'tree of Christmassage and prayer for Daughters Of Eve in their grief. Daughters Of Eve being CS Lewis' name for the female descendants of our First Mother, Eve. Over my years as a massage therapist since 1996, I have come to realize the power of massage to bring comfort in grief, and to be a ministry to the heart in hard times.
My greatest desire for using the gift of massage is to be a ministry to women who need encouragement and prayer and to be a pipeline of financial blessing for missions and ministries.
